Earth Hour

Next Saturday, the 28th March, Australia will celebrate Earth Hour. I think this is a great idea. As you know, the earth now is in worse and worse situation--global warming, air pollution, water pollution, overpopulation and so on. The earth is our living environment, and we should protect it and learn to live with it.

I join in voting for Earth. At 8.30 pm on Saturday 28th March, my family and I will turn off the lights at home for one hour.

  3. Hi dear Rafe! It’s Lucy.

I'm not sure that you know it, but at the last study day we decided with the part of our group to go to Museum on holidays. If you have time and wish - join us. We'll be happy if you will.

So, I am writing about our Australian Museum visit. Here is some necessary information.

Address: 6 College Street (opposite Hyde Park ), the nearest train stations – St. James Station, Museum Station, Town Hall (it also is not too far). Work hours – every day except 25 December from 9.30 a.m. till 5 p.m. Entrance fee (ticket price) $12. Photography and video are not permitted almost everywhere at the Museum.

You can find out more about exhibitions if check this site: http://amonline.net.au/visiting/index.cfm or http://amonline.net.au/visiting/general/address.htm

See the left side of the site page, you can find here all information for general visitors. Check the most important blocks: Address, Admission, Getting here, Museum Guide Map (I have printed it for us), What’s on calendar.

Because of the school holidays it can be a lot of people at the Museum. So, it will be better if we go out of doors a little bit earlier.

Let's meet with each other on Thursday, 23 of April, 10 a.m., at Kogarah station between the ticket offices. And go all together by train. If you prefer drive - you can find secured parking near Museum. It will be cost something - about $10-15 for 3-4 hours. If you will go by train, make sure that your mobile phone is working and has enough money to make a call if you are late. If you are late for a long time, don’t worry- go to Museum alone and meet other students there (take the address with you).

If you agree with the time and the day, please, write me. If you want offer another day and time – please, write ASAP – I’ll ask other… and write you again.
